When choosing a diet, if you can't see it being sustainable for years to come, it's probably a good idea not to do it.

Continue eating Carbohydrates as they are used for fuel in the body. Get them from real foods like oats, potato's, rice, beans, fruit and veg. Avoid all food and drinks with any added sugar. 
45-65% of the total calories in your diet should be coming from carbs - if you're trying to lose weight, stick to the lower side of these percentages and the higher side if your goal is to gain weight. 
If you live a physically demanding lifestyle, you will also want to eat more of them!
